Text to invoice

Create an invoice from a text message.

For small contractors and service businesses, a simple job message can become an organized invoice draft—without retyping every field after leaving the job site.

What do I text to make an invoice?

Include the customer name, the work or parts supplied, the city or job address, and the amount before tax. A phone number or email can be added for delivery, but they are optional while preparing the draft.

Example: Invoice for Sam Lee, faucet repair, Surrey BC, $250 before tax.

From text message to invoice PDF

  1. Describe the job. Send the details from your connected business number.
  2. Review the extracted information. Check the name, address, line items and subtotal, and correct anything that is wrong.
  3. Review taxes. Check GST, HST, PST and your business tax settings as applicable; Mobillify does not replace accounting advice.
  4. Approve the draft. Save the invoice or authorize a supported delivery channel. Nothing goes to the customer simply because you sent the original text.

Can I invoice without installing a new app?

The messaging workflow works through supported SMS channels after your business number is verified. Mobillify also has a free browser invoice generator for a one-off PDF.
