Mobillify
WhatsApp to invoice

Turn a WhatsApp message into an invoice draft.

Already handling your jobs on WhatsApp? Use a connected business messaging workflow to prepare invoices from the same kind of job description you send every day.

How does a WhatsApp invoice work?

  1. Register your business. Enter your company information and confirm that your messaging number is connected.
  2. Start with INVOICE. Send a text describing the customer, job, location and amount before tax.
  3. Review the draft. Mobillify presents the invoice number, customer details, line items and applicable taxes for correction.
  4. Decide what happens next. Save the invoice, edit it or expressly approve delivery. An initial WhatsApp message is not permission to send it to the customer.

Example: invoice by WhatsApp

Job note: Dhatt Adobe Homes Ltd., washroom renovation, Abbotsford BC, $1,950 before tax.

The draft should show a $1,950 subtotal and any applicable GST/HST/PST separately. Verify whether the customer needs an address, email or phone before authorizing delivery.

WhatsApp invoicing versus SMS invoicing

Both can start the same invoice process. SMS uses a linked text-message number; WhatsApp uses a connected WhatsApp sender. Provider availability, consent and messaging limits vary by channel. Compare with text-to-invoice by SMS.
